Access Control on Grid

On the Grid environment where computational resources located on multiple sites are aggregated, users with a diversity of computational resources need to access data with diverse security attributes. Therefore, a user’s access to a data must be properly controlled. In this study, we have developed a RBAC-based access control technology for Grid environment, which leverages Grid Security Infrastructure (GSI) and PrivilEge and Role Management Infrastructure Strandards (PERMIS). In particular, we have applied this access control technology to clinical database for Perkinson’s diseases.
